What connects Pavel, Vladimír, Miloslav and Tomáš?

Four different stories, four different journeys – and yet they have in common more than you might think.

They enjoy what they do – each of them has actively chosen Holymer as the place where they want to create.

They listen to their client´s needs – they are not a part of an anonymous corporation, but form a team where everyone has a voice. They pull together – from the founders to the youngest member of the team. They take each projectpersonally – because they see tangible results from their work.

Pavel studied economics at school, but soon found that he did not enjoy his studies. Instead of sitting over his textbooks, he preferred to work part-time. He delivered food as a courier for Volt or worked in the warehouses of various factories.

He spent six years at VRgineers, working his way up to a management position. He managed a team of people, travelled the world, but most importantly, he learned to work manually. It was there that he discovered his passion for technology and tangible work. "I found that I got great joy from making something myself and seeing tangible results," Pavel recalls.

In 2020, he decided to take the big step and founded Holymer with his friend Vláďa. The first two years they worked only on a few small projects, in 2022 they started working full time, and in 2024 they started expanding the team.

Today he is responsible for the economic side of the company – from finance and personnel costs, planning, marketing and sales, to project management and the smooth running of the whole company. But that's not all! Pavel is actively involved in the development and the projects themselves, because the manual work and visible results still make him happy.

"I am the master of my time. I can balance my family and personal life with my work much better. And if a complication arises? I see it as a challenge to be overcome," says Pavel with a smile.

Pavel is an athlete in body and soul. He plays tennis, loves chess and ball sports. In the past he has also tried Thai boxing. He spends his free time with his family and two dogs at the cottage or on trips around the Czech Republic.

Vladimír's technical journey began at the Secondary School of Mechanical Engineering in Loket. After graduation, he headed straight to CNC machines, where he gained his first experience in production.

However, he soon moved on to a job he enjoyed more - design. In a company dealing with chip management and conveyors, he sat at the design table for the first time and spent nearly two years designing various conveyors.

Then came a challenge that moved him on - designing moulds for the bed of machining centres made from polymer concrete. Vladimir was there when the first mould was created, which later started mass production.

But 2003 brought an unexpected turn. Vladimír took a break from engineering and for two years traded drawing for swimming pool - he became a lifeguard in a Prague water park. When plans for expansion and new attractions began, the management remembered that he had an engineer on his team. So Vladimír once again unleashed his technical skills - he designed structures for water slides and other water attractions. It was this experience that finally brought him back to design.

During this time he was studying at university and met his future partner, Pavel. The next stop was an injection molding and steel fabrication company. Here he got his first glimpse into the world of automation, worked his way up to head of the design department and stayed for five years.

The next chapter was at VRgineers, where he worked alongside his friend Pavel (now co-founder of Holymer) to design virtual reality goggles with the highest optical quality.

And then came the big step - 2020 and the creation of Holymer.Vladimir and Pavel decided to go their own way and build a team that would do the design and development their own way - with attention to quality, detail and fair relationships.Today, Vladimír is a senior engineer at Holymer. In addition to designing and visualizing in SolidWorks, he travels to clients, consults on customized technical solutions, prepares quotes, and manages projects technically.

In his spare time, he enjoys playing sports, traveling with his family, and spending time with his son. He also recharges his energy on walks with his two dogs.

In 2024, Miloslav was looking for a new work challenge. He found our advertisement on LinkedIn, a few clicks and the first meeting was a reality.

He has been involved in technical drawing since he was 15 years old. He gained his first experience in his family's company Komomark, and while studying at the Czech Technical University he led his own group, with which he developed machines for gyms and physical water purifiers.

For five years he worked in the Vysočany design office, then he went to the Caribbean for half a year. He spent the next years at Safetec, where he worked on the development of single-purpose medical machines and where he lasted almost seven years.

Today, he has been part of the team as a senior engineer for almost 2 years. His domain is 3D visualizations in SolidWorks, he creates documents for commercial offers, helps in production, thinks about technological processes and looks for the best solutions for clients.

"No one is just a 'colleague' here. We are a real team. Everyone has the opportunity to influence the direction of the whole company. Our company structure is small but efficient - we have a plan, we know what we're doing, and we can improvise when we need to. We all pull together and everyone has the opportunity to bring their own ideas and influence the direction of the company," says Miloslav.

When Miloslav isn't innovating at work, he enjoys going on interesting bike rides. Overall, he is a keen sportsman. He has two sons waiting for him at home, to whom he devotes most of his free time, realize trips around the Czech republic and with whom he has many adventures.

Pavel with Vladimír started the company, Miloslav came from corporate, – and Tomáš? He came through family ties, and stayed through his passion for technology.

Tom studied mechanical engineering at the Integrated Technical and Economic High School in Sokolov.

His previous experience was gained over 1.5 years at Astos Machinery, where he worked on conveyor belts and CNC programming.

He came to Holymer thanks to his uncle Vladimír, who is one of the founders of the company. He has been part of the team since June 2024 and has quickly become an indispensable member of the engineering department.

Tom holds the role of junior engineer in the team, but he is still involved in advanced design projects. He collaborates on improving the quality of the dust-free environment. He coordinates parts and material orders and participates in production procurement.

"Thanks to my uncle, I knew what to expect from working at Holymer, but I am still surprised. Every day I learn something new! My colleagues enrich me with their years of experience and I love discovering new technologies", Tom shares his enthusiasm.

In his free time, you can find Tomáš on running trail or enjoying a good drink with his friends.

The Holymer team is constantly innovating and fitting things together - more parts will be introduced soon.
